Hypocrisy
Hypocrisy is a terrible thing.
It means that we feel that what we want to do or say will be unacceptable, so we do something else instead.
This leaves us feeling that we want to do bad things, so we must be bad people ~ sinners ~ we feel Shame and Guilt.
